In Turkey the production of chandeliers and chandelier beams started in 1960 with the development of the glass industry and the facility brought in providing raw materials and it goes on up today.

Although the rather difficult conditions of 1960, the creativity of the persons involded in this industry make them use glass bars and transform them into the shapes and moulds they wanted to obtain. The cutting stone, wich in reality had been designed to cut motor crankshafts, was used horizontally for stoning and they have been able to obtain the results they wanted to get.

Another problem for this people had been the polishing of these cut surfaces and they went on in their researches with the "try and see" method, fighting against technical impossibilities and indequacies.

The use of cork as a ground surface for polishing has been adopted because it was flexible and didn't scratch (mark) glass.
Aluminium oxide diluted with water and transformed into a paste and it was used for polishing.

But, unfortunately all these works haven't been sufficient to reach a satisfactory product and during twenty years we had to work with this technology.

But in 1980 there had been a great development and finally we could reach the world standarts. We abandonned the previous polishing technology, made discs out of serium oxide with some binding materials and now we are able to get a high quality polish that do not abrade the designed corners.
The last and most important thing we would like to add is that all these works are hand made.

POWER HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED INTO LABOR AND LABOR INTO LIGHT.
